Recently we have started to plant the hillside beds that were created prior to the rainy season. And, as it should be in a forest garden, with a wide variety of plants: tall & low trees, palms, shrubs and herbs, medicinal plants and vegetables. Small sample: Carasol, cacao, coffee, coconut palm, citrus, pomegranate, avocado, jackfruit, Artemisia annua and Moringa, papaya ,bananas and much more. The large number of different plants are the guarantee for a resilient, high-yield system!
We have planted 50 pineapple plants alone as ground cover, well over 100 Artemisia annua for malaria control and over 50 trees from the citrus family... plus about 120 other trees and countless shrubs, herbs and ground cover. Please have a look into our gallery:
